What if I have no prescription?

In Germany, physiotherapy paid by statutory insurance always needs a doctor’s prescription. Without one, physiotherapists may only treat medical conditions if they hold a (limited) practitioner licence – the “sektoraler Heilpraktiker”.

  • Our practice owner Johanna Kerber holds this licence, so you can see her without a prescription and pay yourself.
  • Classes, taping, running analysis and supervised training after therapy never need a prescription.
  • You can pay by card or cash and get an itemised invoice – useful for a TRICARE or US insurance claim.
