Yoga in Bad Sobernheim · by the Nahe river
A small, quiet studio a few steps from the Nahe river. Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Back Care in groups of up to twelve – and in summer, we take class outside by the water.
No experience needed · Mats provided · Classes taught in German, questions in English welcome
Who it's for
Many people who come to us have never stepped onto a yoga mat before. That's perfectly fine.
Beginner classes walk you through every pose, step by step. You only do as much as feels good.
Twelve people per class, max. That leaves time for questions and personal tips.
Mats, cushions, blankets and blocks are ready for you. Just wear something comfortable.
From slow and quiet to flowing and strong – you'll find the class that fits your week.
Classes
Every class runs 60 to 75 minutes and ends with a few quiet minutes of relaxation.
Classic yoga: poses are held a little longer and your breath sets the pace. A great place to start.
Flowing sequences that move with your breath. A bit more dynamic – taught by our guest teacher Jonas.
Just a few poses, held long and relaxed, lying down or seated. Calm and quiet – lovely after work.
Gentle exercises for your back, shoulders and posture – a nice balance to desk work or yard work.
From May to September we practice on the meadow by the Nahe, close to the Barefoot Trail (Barfußpfad). If it rains, we move inside.
Start with “Hatha for Beginners” – or send me a quick message and I'll help you choose.
Classes marked May–Sept are held outdoors in summer only. During German school breaks there's a lighter schedule – I'll post it here and in my WhatsApp status ahead of time.

About me
I'm Lea Kaltenbach. I grew up in Bad Sobernheim and came back to the Nahe valley after a few years in Mainz. I've been practicing yoga for over ten years and started teaching on the side in a community room – in 2021, that turned into Studio Flussatem (roughly “river breath”).
I completed a 500-hour teacher training, plus additional courses in Yin Yoga and yoga for the back. My classes aren't about perfect poses – they're about you feeling at home on the mat. I teach in German, but I'm happy to explain things in English.
“The river is never in a hurry, and it still gets there. That's how I want to teach.”
Jonas is from Bad Kreuznach and teaches our Vinyasa classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flowing, friendly and with a good sense of humor.
